Hi Steph

Great idea, the only problem is that you would probably need to order at least a couple of thousand macs to make it viable (the great british public want everything for nothing) and then it will probably be wall to wall sunshine and I'll be left with 2000 raincoats on my shelf with "queens jubilee" on the back! otherwise great idea.

How about, and it's only an idea, but drop any references to the queen and just do the union jacks, you could promote them not only for the jubilee but also the Olympics as well, ride on the wave of patriotism as it were! Then of course there's always the festival crowd to aim at, with a number of them up and down the country with growing crowds I'm sure this could be a lucrative market. Personally, being a Scottish republican, I wouldn't touch one with a bargepole! lol, but if ever one was produced of the Scottish saltire.... sold!

Interesting reading other rainwear enthusiasts thoughts of rainwear for the Jubilee and possibly the Olympics

Would spectators dare to be seen in what I thought would be a trendy looking outer garment with many saying..."I wouldn"t be seen dead in something like that"

But as been pointed out it would have to be a large consignment and what if no one or very few decide to buy one...

Stockists lumbered with stock they are unable to sell

We are so anti -mac in society these days and I do get frustrated why?

Is it the trendy thing nowadays to get wet in preference to the wearing of a good reliable item of rainwear

My interest/attraction started many years ago as an innocent five year old and yes I was innocent then...never really thought what the attraction was...not so much to my plastic mac and school mac but my sister"s...

The outcome....an attraction and wearing of(where possible) macs designed for the fairer sex

The "attraction" now has me searching sites like ebay for bargains and indeed there are bargains to be had....a nylon mac...£4.00...A PVC mac...£6.00

I get to thinking why are these ladies selling these gorgeous sexy macs

I had reason to go to London a few weeks ago....I saw a host of macs of all descriptions being worn...got back home...searched as I headed back from the station...Macs in the minority

They reckon a couple of wet days(Sunday & Monday) for the Jubilee celebrations....just how many spectators will go prepared

Now if I was going I would be putting my lightweight mac in my bag just in case....sadly the majority don"t use their commonsense...rather get wet

Happy Jubilee to one and all

Peter
