Just entered "Pakamac" into Google and this came up. It seems that there was an item broadcast on BBC Radio 4 this morning discussing the Pakamac and other rainwear including Peter Storm gagoules in the 1960's. You may find it interesting. I haven't listened to it all, yet.

there was a link where someone had saved it and uploaded it a couple of weeks ago when it was broadcast if you trawl previous posts
