PVC Skirts

One of the more noticeable and welcome features of the festive season has been the sudden re-emergence in popularity of the shiny PVC skirt in both black and brightly coloured manifestations. Twitter searches regularly reveal 15-25 year olds proudly announcing that they have bought/worn a new PVC skirt, often one from Topshop. Ms Stella Creasy, MP for Walthamstow, was widely reported to have worn a bright blue one when asking a Question in the House of Commons in early December. Styles vary from short and tight to pencil slim. While seemingly designed to appeal to the young, such skirts would seem to have obvious (wipe clean) benefits for mothers, not to mention MILFs, cougars and filles de joie.

Well not seen here on the American side of the pond but we can hope.

Somehow I don't see Nancy Pelosi doing her thing in Congress in a PVC skirt but we can hope for that too. Not!!!!!!

Hm m m . . . .

First of all, sorry about the mispelling. I got a D- in spelling in school; it's still my habit. :)

I just realized I have this pvc skirt with lights:

It is safe for work; no nudity. I wore this outfit (skirt and colorful shorts underneath, along with the crystal shirt) to a $300.00 per person formal black-tie gala recently in Portland.

I was the only man not wearing the requisite tux. And I was a hit especially with the women. They loved it!

There are some skirt designs that I've seen being produced by some plastic rainwear companies in India. Anybody have any luck obtaining or importing any of those? I've made enquiries but don't seem to get a response. Maybe we can start a new fashion trend?

I've worn a PVC microskirt out on several occasions over the holiday.
I was wearing one at the Wild & Woolly motocross on Boxing Day.
It got totally muddy but it's survived.

I would imagine a bit blowy round the kneecaps at motocross in a skirt!
