So normally i just lurk a bit but thought i might contribute.

my fiance and i go for swishy walks quite often and before spending the whole day in nothing but various rainwear outfits we went for a walk in the pouring rain.

i was naked under a SU30ms suit with a long nylon/pvc coat over the top and hunter boots and she wore what you can see.

Are they both PVC U LIKE macs?

We are both 28.

yes both are PUL Macs, we tend to not be able to resist when macs go on sale or going cheap.

The discontinued Blue Cape drives me crazy, it has an amazing smell to it that's intoxicating and she couldn't wait to wear it out finally since she developed her love for a swishy cape.

We also have the blue and pink jelly coat in the same discontinued material, as seen here:

Glad to see it's not just older people into pvc rainwear. i'm 46 and was starting to feel like one of the younger members on the forum.

I'm hoping all the pvc macs on Asos will help to encourage a new generation of rainwear lovers.

How did your GF get into macs? Or are they purely functional to her?

Functional and the rest!

it's my fetish but it came out at the start of the relationship, she was curious about it but not overly interested.
Started out with some functional wear with friesenerz style coats and snowballed from there.
A Hand full of Ebay purchases here and there and it soon became daily wear, she's now out in a mac rain or shine.
she finds them cute and loves all the colours and patterns they come in. she Particularly loves the amount of attention i give her when she's out in one.

she now regularly is out and about in PUL macs and loves it, she was quite excited to get that cape shown and when it came, put it on immediately swooshing it around exclaiming "I HAVE A CAPE, I HAVE A CAPE" so i think we'll be getting more of those.

Since we started to dabble in chastity play, seeing her walk around the house head to toe in rainwear has become common occurrence to drive me bonkers. she's even started to sleep in it just to be extra torturous.

From the comments she gets i think people want to wear rainwear but there is some sort of strange stigma about wearing plastic and most lack the confidence to wear it.

I guess the stigma is unspoken i.e. peer pressure or what the culture deems fashionable. I could never understand why anybody would carry an umbrella on a rainy windy day because they all would get bloody wet. I wore a raincoat around my university and nobody noticed. Then again, it was the capital city it was located. My advice is for both of you to wear your favoutite macs and caps around town. Maybe your confidence will encourage others. I'm glad to see young people into rainwear.

Great ! Thanks for sharing ! Really cool to see another young couple into rainwear . We are 33 and 34 and our story is pretty similar to yours tbh .
My wife wears her rainwear to a lot of festivals and out shopping sometimes if it's actually raining . She has loads that I have bought her but amazingly her favourite is a blue pul one which she says she loves the feel of and it's not even her fetish .
She wears the nylon pvc backed ones a lot too , but that's because they are my favourite type .
