'Excuse me ! I love your mac !'

I thought I'd mention several very nice encounters with pvc loving people over the last week or so.
I walked in to Konnigans cafe in Wandsworth, yesterday, wearing a very shiny black PVC U Like mac and just as I was about to sit down at one of the tables and I heard a girl's voice from behind me say : 'Excuse me ! I love love your shiny mac !'
I felt a genuine sense of excitement as I looked and saw these two pretty women sitting there smiling back at me, drinking their coffee.
What made it so very interesting was that the cafe was half full of people who all turned round to look and didn't seem to mind at all as our mutual appreciation for shiny pvc macs was discussed so openly.
The girl continued with her compliments and asked me where I got it from and she immediately made note of it on her phone. I told her I'd always loved shiny pvc macs and have always worn them ever since I was a child. And that I now have several of them.
She was a very beautiful and confident and the other people in the cafe started smiling and nodding in agreement as she continued to ask me about my mac. She said : 'I bet you get lots of lovely comments about your shiny mac ?!' And I replied that I did.
She was very sweet.
When I got up to leave later on, I was putting my mac back on and I could see her watching me closely, which was such a thrill. As I did up the buttons all the way to the top and buckled the belt, she smiled again and said : It's really lovely. I cant take my eyes off of it. I want one.'
I replied : 'Thank you so much. You've really made my day. Have a nice weekend.'
When someone is so positive about your favourite mackintosh, you cant help but feel very good and confident about it. As it should be !
Also : While I was looking around a retro shop called Rockit in Covent Garden the other day one of the female staff came up to me and said :'Your coat is so cool !' I really like it !. I want a red one. Were did you get it ? So we chatted about plastic macs for a few minutes and then I l left feeling very happy.
Plus, whilst in a camping shop, also in Wandsworth the other day, a girl working there came over and told me she had just thrown away TWO shiny black pvc macs ! I was shocked and I asked why she had done that and she explained that she had just worn them out from wearing them so much !
But, thankfully she wanted to replace them as she missed them very much and asked where I bought mine. She said she'd seen me many times wearing my macs so thought I might be helpful. She explained she wanted a mac that would compliment her shiny leather trousers she often wears.
This has been a fantastic shiny week !
And the weather looks wet next week. Time to get the wet look again !
