It's raining at last.!!

As we've had such a dry spell of weather these past weeks, I've not had a chance to test a vintage rubberised red statin mackintosh, which I managed to get on e-bay at a very good price, until this morning.
It is calf length, with an unusual mandarin collar and buttoned cuffs which I understand were quite popular in the 50's/60's. I came with a matching sou'wester with long ear covers which tucked under the chin.
It's been pouring all day and I've had a lovely long walk in my new mac and red Hunter wellies. It has a lovely strong aroma and is completely waterproof. The feel of the soft rubber lining of the sou'wester was a bonus. !!
Reluctantly I had to take it off when I returned home and it is now hanging up to dry but I'll put it on again before my partner comes home.!!
