That seems extortion. It doesn't even look that designer unlike some of the Italian raincoats that appear on ebay. I'll stick to pvc-u-like.

LOL!! I had to look at the calender when I first read this post as I thought it must be April 1st!! $1000 for a plastic mac is just another sign of how completely insane the world is going, in the midst of a global recession someone actually thinks they can sell $20 worth of PVC for a grand, rediculous.

Well, I am guessing then that none of us will be putting this ebay seller in our bookmarks list.

Surely they have put the decimal point in the wrong place, a couple of spaces to the left would be better!

For £1000 I would expect a whole wardrobe of top end rainwear - A thick PVC full length mackintosh with a belt and made to measure, a pair of top of the range Hunter wellingtons and at least 3 handmade Souwesters and rainhats !
I wonder who would end up buying it, the thing is there are a lot better raincoats out there for good prices, even one from Rimo-Mantelmode in Germany is far cheaper and is better quality.
Due to the decreasing amount of rukka style and thick plastic macks available (as well as the ridiculous prices) I have decided to try and make my own.
I have bought 8 metres of thick Black glossy PU material, some heavy duty mercerised cotton and thicker needles for the sewing machine. It is going to be a nice little project in the next few weeks to see if I can make my own raincoats and of course I can't wait to try it out in the next big rainstorm. All this probably only cost me £40 (Not £1000 Ha Ha!)
best regards
