rather worried at the idea of biodegradable, so presumably its not meant to last

hi, that attached also my attention. Brelli seems to have a patent application for the "biodegradable" umbrella, made mainly of bamboo, but for the waterproof film they rely on commercially available plastics. There are some types and/or additives which make plastics to degrade in a few years in suitable bacteria containing environment. But does the green marketing camouflage the function of the item, well I'll let that for everyone to decide by oneself...

biodegradable ... = marketing bullshit.
Plastic is NOT biodegradable; they are only saying that to jack up sales in this increasingly "green" climate
