The narrator of this short British Pathe newsreel obviously has a fetish for....errrrm....oh yes....plastic!

Absolutely stunning video. Pity they don't make them like that nowadays. First one is lovely and roomy, a lot like the mac featured in 'Follow me Quietly'.

Interesting that both had 'under collar' detachable hoods. A style not seen in many a day. And the second white opaque mac does not appear to have pockets, unless they are well back and in the side seam.

Pity we can't see the colour of the first one.

As an interesting aside, can anyone tell me why it has long been the fashion to tie the bow of the belt just off-centre?

I have a see through plastic mack like the first one shown in the video. I love it and wear it all the time when it rains, along with my wellies. I don't care who sees me!!
I've received plenty of compliments from ladies.
