Re: topshop pvc capes
I agree. Topshop is expensive. You can buy plastic capes in outdoor shops for ten euros.
Can't see many women wearing the Topshop ones either.

Re: topshop pvc capes
Topshop is ridiculously expensive but you'll be surprised to how many ladies will actually buy these capes, especially the younger ladies (teens) just because they are popular.
Shiny down jackets hit the Asian community where I live pretty hard, so hopefully these will to!

Re: topshop pvc capes
Hi,
These top shop capes are cheaper than the clear one they had last season. I thought £35 was quite reasonable for a fashionable item (pvc-u-like are around the same price, if not more now).
You might be able to get a clear bike cape or poncho from a camping shop for 10 euros but no self-respecting woman is going to wear one of them except to a festival as a last resort. I certainly want to see women wearing these on the high street or going out to a restaurant or club. Only then will pvc rainwear and clothing start to be acceptable to the general public and appear more in the high street. Primark have done a huge favour to us in the rainwear loving community as they have sold cheaper fashionable rainmacs over the last 3 or 4 years. I normally see at least one or two ladies/girls wearing a Primark raincoat when it is raining, whilst i'm out shopping or coming home on the train.
Top Shop seem to be the only high street retailer at the moment that have pvc or plastic rainwear for sale, Primark don't have any new stock in my local stores. Nor do New Look, H&M or Zara (all of which have had some off and on, over the last few years). Even TK MAxx don't seem to have much at the moment, and my own personal rainwear collection has been boosted by TK Maxx a lot (about 8 or 9 and counting)
