HELLO!!

Post by Muddynorfolkboy »

Oh my goodness me I'm so excited to have found this forum! :)

I thought I was the only one who loved getting dressed up in rainwear!!

My eyes have well and truly been opened!

Sorry, manners... Hello! I'm Ben and am from Norfolk, UK. I've loved rainwear all my life. In fact some of my earliest experiences I remember we're playing in mud in my wellies. That has since progressed to a bit of a secret fetish that I hide from my GF which saddens me. I'd love her to get involved too. I love getting layers of heavy duty rainwear on. My favourite items are from vass rainwear. Really heavy duty! I just wish they weren't cotton lined. To overcome this, I wear the first layers inside out so I can feel the PVC. Then it's on with the chest waders, last smock over top and a pair of arm length gauntlets!

I've found the most amazing muddy area near me. It's so deep (up to my shoulders) but have a gravel bottom! I love completely submerging myself in it. I would take photos but the problem is, it's quite exposed near roads so only generally go for night time wallows... Plus I have no one to take the photos! :)

Anyway, I hope to have some chats on here!

MNB! :)

Hi Ben

Welcome to Rainwear Central

I am in my mid sixties and have an attraction to rainwear from the tender age of six

You are not alone in your secret fetish....the only people who accept us are those who have experienced the attraction of rainwear

It has to remain a secret(although difficult) from family, friends, girlfriends,
partners,wives...I speak from experience here

I was married at the age of 27 and attempted to tell my wife about what I considered a harmless interest but her response was..."she never understood and never would" so this restricted my wearing or buying macs

We split up in 1999 and now 13 years on....I look back at what I have achieved...made friends on sites such as Rainwear Central and met some enthusiasts in person....dressed in rainwear,.,..recalling how the attractuion started and when...what attracted you

Many enthusiasts love to have a collection of various rainwear....Me...I have PVC...Nylon...Plastic and even Trenchcoats all in a wardrobe...sadly not possible with a girlfriend who you think will not understand

A little tip...if you can find fellow mac enthusiasts to share your thoughts with along with experiences and if possible meeting in person

Take care

Guys just suggest it to the ladies some women are loving these fashion wellies right now and you know how women love to buy accsories. I have been very fortunate when suggesting rainwear to some girlfriends others have given me a right hard slap and told me I am a pervert but just give it a try you never know it could be their secret fetish too .

I would gladly take pics of you but about 340 miles away from you

Sadly these days a guy, even if he goes out in a mac is looked upon as a perv, kinky,a flasher,a dirty (old) man in a raincoat

And to think years ago everyone...young and old wore a mac...just look at old black and white films....street scenes of everyday life...there were the men and boys....ladies and girls all in macs

I know many guys out there, secret admirers of macs will wear them indoors but going out in them...holding back for fear of snide remarks

I speak from experience...my next door neighbour...sees me in my Trenchcoat...used to ask me if I had been out flashing...I just humoured him...never responded....just ignored him...and now he never passes any comments...

As "Kugaman" has suggested....mention it to your girlfriend...see her response..you may be pleasantly surprised..is she a mac wearing lady?...if so then tell her how good she looks in her mac....show her it "excites" you...she could possibly then accept your interest/fetish

Good luck!

Well, I've said it before and now I'll say it again.

My wife, real wife not some play-around person, will and does wear a mackintosh from Weathervain. She has 2, one being a smart two-year old single-texture mackintosh in Navy-blue rubberized satin and the other, just about 3-months old Lady Harper in single-texture rubberized satin. She's worn them here in the US and on vacation in England.

I get by wearing my single-texture "walking" mackintosh in a fawn/off white color.

Guess what? No bad comments from anybody and what they think doesn't concern me or my wife.

So our advice is go for it!

Hi Blackmacjay

One lucky guy.....having a wife wearing a mac from Weathervain

My wife...just not interested...end of story...all in the past now

I was passing the Weathervain shop in Kew last year...looked in the window...that is as far as I got...my bank balance wouldn"t allow me to go in

Your "walking" mackintosh sounds smart

Nice to see a couple out together in mackintoshes

Well, I cannot pretend that she gets the same pleasure as I. But she knows of my interest and that's good enough for me. Her feeling is that the mackintosh is both windproof and waterproof so that's fine with her.

As for my "walking" mackintosh, it's very similar to the ones you see on the Weathervain website but not a riding mackintosh as it doesn't come with all the things that these are supposed to have. Then again I'm no horse person so hence my title.

WOW! What a warm welcome! :)

I take on board your comments, but it's never going to happen... There's one thing wearing a mac. But it's not exactly easy going from that to layers of wonderful heavy duty rainwear with chest waders and arm length rubber gloves!

Think it's just going to have to remain a little secret that I can get away with at the moment (we don't live together) but if the time ever came when we did move in together, I think I'd struggle to find somewhere to not only hide all my stuff, but also get an opportunity to go mudding! I guess it could live in some sort of discreet box like it does now, but it's the drying time that would be difficult! I know it takes about 4 days to completely dry my gear (mainly due to the waders) out and I could never put away wet!

I'm looking forward to my parents going away for a month in Nov. I'll be house sitting and they have an amazing muddy wetland next door! Can't wait to go exploring!
