Hello,
I quite like the Deston glass clear red/green/blue raincoats worn by Fetish Renata. I note that they are sold by Deston, based in Czechoslovakia. Could I possibly obtain Deston raincoats from the UK? How about Ebay?
Whilst PUL do some nice rainwear, I get the impression that the glass clear red/green/blue raincoats sold by Deston are made from a thicker PVC, or that they contain a different plasticiser, which imparts different characteristics upon the PVC. I prefer thicker, yet soft, ultra-shiny/glossy raincoats that stick together when folded and make a loud crackle/popping sound when worn, handled or unfolded (don't ask me why, but my plastic raincoat fetish is very specific- nylon, rubber, 'non-noisy' and non-shiny or non-glossy pvc does not appeal to me whatsoever.
Is it possible to buy a Deston raincoat from the UK? Ebay?

Hi, re fetish Renata she / he has glued together two raincoats from Deston, so the combined coat is larger than the normal 3/4 length jacket.
Unfortunately Deston staff did not anser my mail, and they do not speak Englsih or another language (I live 250 km from Prague in Germany).
I already decided to go there and buy a moderate quantity of macs from Deston, and sell them regularly on ebay,
with small uplift, due to handling and travel costs.
If there is a reasonable amount of responses here to buy Deston macs, I would try to buy them onsite and offer them on ebay.
So, depending on the positive ansers in this forum, I can act.
Btw, you are absolutely right, that the macs from Deston look a little bit thicker than other PUL coats. I also prefer thicker, very shiny PVC material.
Regards
Kenn

I'd be very interested: I'd take three, maybe four raincoats of different colours if the quality is OK. anyboDy else interested?)rainfash wrote:I already decided to go there and buy a moderate quantity of macs from Deston, and sell them regularly on ebay,

Count me in; I'd buy a few, specifically these:

ok, I see, I would buy the "sets", each colour of "Florence" coat (= 5 macs, 5 colours).
I hope that they are still available in size L (I know they had XL as well, but they are gone), Maybe a lot of rainwear enthusiasts did buy the XL sizes...)))), I do not assume that in Czechia all the ladies wear XL, since the girls and ladies are quite small and skinny. So all the XL sizes must have been bought by male rainwear freaks.
I hope to get there in the end of July, or August.
