I used to have the video always set to record with the pause button pressed so if anything of interest came on i got it without much trouble
I must sort out the old tapes and see whats there

That series bring back memories of the fashions and how plastic macs were more common, going back further I remember a programme called take three girls with Lisa Goddard, I can recollect one episode when the girls are arguing with I think their landlord or boyfriend and they mention his rainwear fetish, was I imagining it or can anybody remember

Sounds like you have an Aladdin's Cave of rainwear goodies on tape Ray....nothing like finding forgotten gems in the archives!.I remember Take Three Girls too as kid and the catchy theme tune, around the late sixties i guess....hope the episodes still exist in the tv archives considering the wiping policies of that time.
Re: The Growing Pains of Adrian Mole
There were two series of "Take Three Girls". The first in 1969 starred Susan Jameson (as Kate), Angela Down (as Avril) and Liza Goddard (as Victoria). The second in 1971 only had Liza Goddard from the first series and she was joined by Carolyn Seymour (as Jenny) and Barra Grant (as Lulie). Each series had 12 episodes and a total of 14 are lost. There was a 4 part series in 1982 called "Take Three Women" which reunited the stars of the first series. I seem to remember that in the first series Victoria was often seen wearing a Valstar Gangster mac and Kate wore a shiny opaque yellow mac, which I think was unhooded.
