Well Protected

Post by PVCLOVER »

Just returned home from the local pub,a 20 minute walk in a downpour.I was wearing my long shiny black pvc mac.A guy passed me,out walking his dog, who commented how well protected I was, I had to agree! My mac was so wet I had to give it a good shake to dry it. Silly me,I should have taken it off first! Enjoyed the walk in the rain wearing my mac.

The current weather is great for rainwear lovers!

Yesterday my wife and I went Christmas shopping both wearing our black PVC macs. I only saw one other person wearing a PVC mac. When the rain squalls came we kept on walking whereas others ran for cover and the rain just ran off our macs.

Long live PVC macs!

It's been wonderful weather for mackintosh apparell and I've worn my macs everyday for the past week. Have just spent a few hours Christmas shoppping well protected against the elements in my red satin rubberlined mac, hood tightly fastened and of course, my Hunter wellies.
I thoroughly enjoyed myself and my day was made by the number of compliments I received from both men and women on my proper rainwear. By the time I got home ,I was simply glowing and am keeping my mac on for a little while longer, noisily swishing around the house.

Happy macking.!!

This is definately "payback" time of year! In our area of the USA the weather is like the UK on steroids. Just had a record dumper and rubber and plastic/PVC are the ONLY ways you are going to stay dry! Even the "technical" garments will not cut it in a driving rain. So we can swish and rustle our way around to our heart's content knowing we're dry, protected and any covert nay sayers are simply getting soaked and flu ridden! I'm a fan of clear rain jackets myself and have never had anything but an affirmation and occasional question as to where I obtained them.
