Friday 14th December - UK Weather

Post by hotwilly »

Currently at work looking out the window at the heavy rain

When I leave here its home; Change clothing & get into my Blue PVC U Like Mac / Peter Storm Leggings & Green Wellingtons & then take teh dog for an hours walk through the streets knowing I am dressed for the weather

The same here in Scotland, I've been out and about today wearing my heavy fluorescent PVC bib overalls and jacket with some industrial black wellies, it's such a great feeling walking around knowing there's no chance of getting soaked while watching all the people without any decent rainwear huddling up in doorways and bus shelters, I could have caught 4 buses to get to where I had to go today but it was much more fun to walk!

I was out this morning wearing my black PVC trenchcoat as it was ideal for the heavy rain and was complimented on my coat as I was coming out of M&S.

Hi,
Here the rain stopped at 18 MET , so as I went out out that time it was dry :( , it had rained about 2 hours.I thought that it should rain in the evening as I went to the library, but the planning was wrong.....

My wife has been out in London several times recently in her black PVC macs. Good news for her, there are still many men admirers of the PVC mac out there and she gets many comments on the look - which she loves of course. You'd think with so many opportunities, and demand, that we'd see more shops with more styles available for us to buy. So whoever is complimenting my wife - we both thank you, keep it up....

Pleased your wife receives compliments.
When I have worn my PVC. U like mac so have I
What I find disappointing is that the only way I can get a long PVC gents mac is on line, not even Rainmac do PVC for men

On the subject of PVC macs for men, I have asked Rainmac a few times why they do not do PVC macs for men and they say men buy the larger ladies sizes so they do not see a need. Perhaps if more men called them asking for mens macs they may realise there is an interest. Weathervain will make a PVC make to your requirements but they are more expensive that Rainmac and they have recently obtained some heavier weight PVC and I intend to buy one of these macs in the New Year.
