Cleaning your rainwear?

How do you guys clean your rain wear when it is muddy or just dirty?

Depends?
Usually under a warm shower for nylon.
Cold shower for PVC material.

That usually moves most of the mud etc.

I had to jet wash my pvc trousers and mac and the rubber gloves. The mud was thick sticky clay lol

Could be dangerous high pressure water!

No it was on the ground as I know the lance is very powerful

I have a couple of hooded full length PUL macs which I have often worn in bed. On warmer nights,they get "sweaty" on the inside,but as I fold the mac up to store away in the morning,they can take a while to dry out. Also, I sometimes make a "mess" on the inside when the pvc works its magic! What is the best way to clean the inside? Maybe a shower is the best method,but any other ideas?

I find that detergent (i.e. washing up liquid) in warm (but not hot) water is excellent for removing dirt, grease and oils, etc from PVC. Make sure to rinse it thoroughly with warm water to remove every last trace of detergent. You can tell that glossy or glass clear/transparent is super-clean and free from grease or detergent traces after the rinsing because it makes a fantastically loud 'crackly' noise as the clean pvc surfaces interact with each other and cling together. The noise made by ultra-clean, grease-free glass clear or glossy pvc is a great turn-on!
