help fetish.renata or anybody who can speak czech!!

Post by plasticfantastic »

Hi everyone my name is justin and this is the first time i have posted on the new forum! (although i used to post on the old one) I need help with something. I was looking through some of the pictures on the other menu and i came across fetish.renata's post. I was blown away by some of the fab plastic raincoats and i was really excited by the childrens style raincoat in the adult size!!! (it was the closest that i have seen to the ones that bring back so many memories from my childhood). Unfortunatly the link that was given was for a company in the czech republic (i think!) and that is not a language that i am expert at... So please can somebody help me get hold of these raincoats. Pete helped me a while back to get hold of the target raincoats from the u.s (many thanks again for that) so if anyone knows a way around this then i would be eternally in your debt

Thank you everyone

Justin

Hello,
Try it in plain English!
If the Czechs want to sell ,they should understand and write Enlish !
Good luck, Peter

In October of last year I was in Prague, before I left I made an appointment to visit Deston it's a small company but when I arrived I got a warm welcome from the manager.
They only had small sizes of the "Florence" raincoat and would receive larger ones in November but I got addresses in Prague were I could buy them in XL.
Of other long plastic raincoats they had large sizes even up to XXXL so I bought a few of those, the manager (who does not speak good English) gave me a tour of the company and of course I made some pictures.
Nice people at Deston, if I ever go to Prague in the future I will surtenly visit them again.

Example translation by Google:
Dlouhá dámská pláštěnka vyrobená z matného 100% PVC, s kapsami a kapucou, stahovací bílé šňůrky v pase a na kapuce

Ladies long raincoat made of 100% frosted PVC, with pockets and a hood, draw a white drawstring waist and hood

..not bad, it works the other way also.

Mac users probably already know about the similar translation utility on the Dashboard.

Also there is BabelFish - http://babelfish.yahoo.com/ - which has a wider range of to/from languages, but is still a rudimentary sort of translator.
