GR8 find in town today

Post by spw24 »

Hi been in town today and found that Primark are now selling a new range of PVC macs they are short jackets made of quite heavy weight PVC not as thin as the ones from PVC-u-like, found them in sizes from 8 - 18, colours were trans green and trans pink/red colour others may be available in other stores a real bargin at only £11.

Now to keep a look out for girls wearing them.

Hi,

Yes we went to the London Primark store and they had the red and green ones (there are blue ones as well apparently) They look nice, like the macs from the 80's. Quite thick pvc, shiny gold poppers and should sit just below the waist (not quite as long as the solid colour PU macs they had last season.

The only thing against them and bearing in mind they are £11 is they have no drawstring in the hood as far as i could see.

Jane was going to buy one or two, but the store was heaving and it was about 30C (Primark don't seem to have any AC) so she didn't feel like trying them on. She said she would go back and then suprise me one day in the bedroom. Can't wait!!!

without wishing to be overly snobbish primark does appeal to a certain clientele for whom soap and water are optional so a heaving store at 30 degrees could leave you heaving in another way undortunately

While passing my local Primark store in Camberley this morning, the doors were open and on a rack just inside were the new range of plastic jackets in red, blue and green. Nice positioning but perhaps it would have been better to bring them out earlier in the year for the 'April showers' period? I notice from earlier posts they were priced at £11 but the rack I saw was priced at £19, presumably an error although it is popular belief that we're all rich in Surrey!
Great to see this sort of thing in high street stores, sadly I doubt if sales will be high but I'll keep an eye on the rack to see if the stock sells.

Any chance of a pic from anyone for those of us not lucky enough to live near a Primark?

"...I'll keep an eye on the rack to see if the stock sells."

Or if the prices come down, as happened in Target stores in the US with their polyurethane jackets last spring.

I bought a red/pink one in the Coventry store the other day. Much as described above, thicker plastic the pvc-u-like. They were £11. Check the buttons before you buy as one of mine has broken off already, although they do come with a spare. They are quite a small fit -- I bought size 18 and I'm only average build and the sleeves are too short. Can't blame the shop though as I did try various sizes on

I bought two in my local Primark - a blue and a green one - they are both lovely plastic, nice feel and smell - I too opted for a size 18 in both and whilst they fit me ok they are indeed a bit short in the arm and a little bit tight across the chest. I too am medium build. But for £11 each, you can't say fairer than that as they look and feel great !

I finally got to a Primark which was large enough to have these in stock.
Unfortunately I really didn't like them - very hard, heavy material.
For me, it has to be something soft, smooth, slippery & shiny.
