Two sightings and boots

I had two sightings to comment on this week. Since PVC rainwear is still far and few between, I will comment on the boots.

The first was a shiny new pair of Hunters in a nice bold lighter green color. I noticed that they had two pieces of reflextive tape on the back. Thinking it was perhaps a new style I checked out the Hunter site looking for it. I come to find out it was the children's style that has the reflective tape. I had read about women buying the children's versions assuming sizing worked. I had never noticed it before so I know someone actually did that and saved some money in the process of getting some nice looking boots. So for now, that is how to tell.

The second sighting would make us all have sympathy. It was a black pair of boots where the left boot on the lower inside had totally split showing a huge area of either the wearer's sock or the boot lining. I don't know if the boots had just split that day or not but I can't imagine them being worth wearing. Then again, split rain boots are probably better than nothing or expensive shoes that can be damaged.

I love winter in Texas. Boot season is in full swing. I can't go to a store without looking down at every womens feet looking for boots.
