I guess I haven't already mentioned the pic at the top of the page. If I had been on the train to Crystal Palace - or anywhere else - and seen that sweet young thing in that fine-looking translucent coat, Lord only knows what might have happened.

Steady rain in west Cornwall today hence lots of rainwear being worn.Saw several Primark macs,a long blue belted and hooded plastic coat which was probobly a Rukka;the elderly lady wearing it had it fastened up properly and belted with the hood up and tied.Saw an English lady in a very shiny red plastic coat, calf length;it looked brand new.Saw several clear plastic rain bonnets on older ladies, wellingtons of every shape and colour and lots of nylon and gortex;lots of hoods up and several people wearing overtrousers(including me)
I had a nice brisk walk and got very hot.A good day!

Hi Debs

Nice idea, you need to have them hosted on somewhere like Flickr

If you havent I would be happy to host them for you but I understand you may not want to send them to a 'stranger'

Lert me know if I can be of help

Hi Debs,

You could upload them to Regnfrakker, if you still use your account on there. Then you could link them into your message by surrounding the web address of the file with tags

Have fun

p.s. went to a small festival over the weekend and the fashion code for anyone under 35 was shorts or short skirts and wellies of any color. Plus about 5 or 6 people were wearing shiny raincoats and it was sunny all day. One had one of the H&M blue umbrella coats buttoned up and tightly belted everytime i saw her. Maybe she wasn't wearing anything underneath!!! I was in heaven.

It was good news/bad news for me & my wife on our extended holiday weekend car trip to Northern Wisconsin (aka "Up North"). On the one hand we had steady moderately heavy rain all day Friday & all day & night Monday into Tuesday morning before heading back home at noon Tuesday. Unfortunately neither the locals nor the tourists had much of a clue when it comes to quality rainwear. Most of the time the only sight that got me horny was that of my wife in her new Lands End navy/white plaid PU-coated cotton raincoat & her yellow Hunters.

We decided to take a stroll in downtown Minocqua before continuing on to our cabin half an hour away, since we had no idea how long the rain would last & wanted to take full advantage of the wonderful weather (and also christen her new raincoat, as she's had it since June but hadn't really had the opportunity to wear it in public yet). I put on my yellow-navy reversible raincoat, yellow Helly Hansen sou'wester & brown short Hunters (my wife thinks tall wellies make me look like a dork - she thinks the short brown Hunters are classy & sophisticated. What can I do? She indulges my fetish, the least I can do is oblige her). Then she decided to surprise me & kick my hormones into overdrive by whipping out her huge golf-sized clear bubble umbrella. My god that thing turns me on! It just frames her face so nicely, and its white trim & handle blended in well with the white plaid pattern on her raincoat. And I just love the sound of the raindrops bouncing off the dome. I just stared at her on the street, extremely thankful that my jeans were baggy and my raincoat was knee-length, so as to conceal the massive hard-on I was sporting.

So we strolled arm in arm in the steady soaking rain for a good hour or so, mostly window shopping, occasionally stopping in places like the bookstore, the fudge shop, and the jewelry store where we got our wedding rings to get them cleaned. No funny looks from anyone, just the occasional compliment about how adorable my wife looked, and a few jealous stares from soaked tourists who learned that cotton hoodies are not very effective as rain gear. Not one other decent raincoat to be seen. Some umbrellas, a couple of pvc ponchos (and too many cheap "garbage bag" emergency ponchos), but mostly hoodies, heavy sweatshirts & warmer jackets (which don't do a good job of keeping one warm once they're completely soaked through in a cold rain). One or two teenage girls with cheap 20 dollar wellies & tiny pocket size umbrellas, but overall not much for a rainwear lover to enjoy. My wife wondered aloud, how can people from Wisconsin, where they pride themselves on unpredictable weather, be so ill-prepared for the rain?

Overall though it was a pretty good holiday weekend, despite the lack of eye candy. Plenty of rainy walks in town & in the woods. And lots of "indoor activity", especially on the days it rained! Or was that too much information?

What are everyones thoughts on the latest range of Berghaus jackets? I've found them to be real crackers - I love the fact that the outer surface is almost wax/plastic like when the water touches it, and the rain runs off it, unlike many rain jackets were ot still soaks in a bit :) They've got lovely big hoods too, ideal for my trips up to town! If anyone woulsd like photos I'd be happy to share.

Debs - the best web site for photo sharing (and ease) is 'Photobucket'. Just type it into Google and you'll find it at the top. Great site, very quick and easy!

This afternoon in Sainsburys in Frome there was a lady in the checkout queue right in front of me wearing a mackintosh. It was an offwhite double textured 3/4 length rubberised riding mac.It looked and smelled great and the lady was an attractive blonde in her late thirties/early forties.Altogether a very striking combination and cheered me up no end on a wet, dismal afternoon.

On channel 5 last night (in the UK) they showed a film called 'Assasins'. The female lead (Julianne something) wore a lovely shiny black pvc knee length pvc mac for much of the first 3/4 hour of the film. Made my evening !!!
