Re: Rain wear delivery
It is not exactly a new delivery or a new raincoat but yesterday in the loft I found my big thick PVC Souwester that I thought I had lost years ago.
It is the type with the thick black cotton ties and the parellel stitching around the bottom half of the souwester. I borrowed it when I was about 14 years old when I used to help the builders on the estate I lived on then with small labouring jobs for pocket money. I also had a shiny gloss black PVC mackintosh which came down to my feet which was always plastered in thick mud which I used to love being washed off in heavy rain - but that totally dissappeared!
It smells old, but there is also a strong musky plastic odour that I have'nt experienced for years.
