What's the most embarrassing rainwear moment you've evr had?

What's the most embarrassing moment you've ever had/experienced whilst wearing plastic clothes/rainwear of any kind?

Was it being busted by mother/sister/girlfriend wearing her plastic mac?
Being laughed at/teased for wearing plastic rainwear in public?

There must be heads of good stories out there; i'd love to hear them!!

My worst experiences (and there's been a few) would be the time:

1) my sister walked inside my room after a big night out with her friends only to see me wearing my shiny yellow plastic rainsuit. It scarcely helped that I was also tying myself up too.... Her screams brought the house down. Embarrassment factor 10/10
2) I was wearing my shiny yellow rainsuit in Brunswick Street (Melbourne) during a major rainstorm ... all very fine and well until a group of drunks hanging out of a bar facing the street decided to have a go at me despite the fact I was probably the only one who wasn't soaked by the torrential rain! (I'm only relieved they never spotted the latex rubber suit under everything) Embarrassment factor 7/10

Thats funny stories mase shame i was never wore my macs and capes outside.i be a little bit afraid wear it in public.not many people in germany do.only on carneval or motogp lots of people wear that standard yellow rainjackets but no one care about if i ever see rainwear in public,i will try it too

as for the actual subject matter of embarrassing moments I think the nearest was probably in the 80s when I bought a clear pvc jacket which I wore out to the pub on a slightly damp day. This seemed to cause amusement although it was probably just one of my many fashion disasters for which I got stick.

There was one potential moment when some mates were round and one of them actually found a plastic mac (mens one) and wondered why I had it. I turned it on him by making him put it on to explain that it kept my dry when it rained. I did offer to demonstrate by making him go under the shower but he took my word for it

Two embarrassing moments.

First when I was in my mid teens. My sister has a blue see-through Pakamac which hung in the the hallway. One day I was in the house on my own and took the mac to my bedroom, put it on and admired myself in the mirror. I decided to keep the mac on until I got back to the hallway. As I came out of my bedroom my brother was looking up the stairs at me. I said I suppose I should try and explain but he said there was no need. Thanks, bruv !

Second was when I was in my early twenties and still living with my parents. I had obtained my first pale blue ladies see-through mac which I kept at the back of my wardrobe. I got home from work one day to find that my mother had decided to re-arrange my bedroom furniture and had completely emptied my wardrobe and the plastic mac, amongst other things, was in a pile on a chair. Thankfully, nothing was mentioned. Aren't mothers great ?

A few years ago I went out dressed in public wearing my heavy black pvc one-piece motorcycle suit, complete with rubber boots and heavy duty gloves. It was a hot sunny summer day, about 30 degrees C, and after getting too hot, decided to unbutton the suit. However, being so tightly buttoned up and wearing the gloves, I could not undo it, and had to struggle and ask for help.

The old lady who helped me out out turned out to be one of my old schoolteachers!! Who then asked me about what sort of motorbike I had, and of course, I couldn't answer!!

Getting caught by the store detective for attempting to steal a girl's raincoat from the rack when I was 12. I decided not to do it, left it in a ball on the floor, and got an aisle away when the
store detective collared me. I had nothing on me, and he dragged me back to the scene of the almost crime: He picked up the raincoat and asked me why I rolled it up, while he was looking through it, hoping to find something hidden... I realized he wasn't aware I was trying to make off with the raincoat... I just kept answering "I don't know" to all his questions. Frustrated as he was, I was let go. I didn't set foot in that store again for 5 years!

Some embarrassing moments I remember:
I was going on a holiday with my girlfriend and because we were going to borrow my parents car we stayed the night over. During the day my mom decided to look for laundry in my packed suitcase.. At that time I only brought 1 (luckily not more!) long green see-through pvc raincoat, which is not really rainwear you see often here in the Netherlands. I lied that we bought it on a previous holiday and that it could come in handy.. I think she bought that excuse.

Other moments were often behind my computer, when someone walked unannounced into my room, I had to quickly shut down certain sites. Or that someone else was using my computer and some strange history showed up, like a strange ebay auction I forget to remove from history.

Iv not had any embarrassing moments is pvc.

However, while wroking one morning I took my raincoat and placed it on top of my locker, later that day I had a dentist appointment as rushed into the locker room only to find a young junior doctor about to try on my coat, he froze, lol, I said to him, I think you would suit that hunny as he dropped it on the floor and ran out.

He was red faced for about a month after that every time I saw him on the ward. hehehe poor wee soul. I never told anyone one it was our wee secret.. hahaha.I used to tease him about "our wee secret" he would go bright red.

I think my embarrassing moment is in the future!I have a hang up about wearig pvc in public,but the only thing stopping me buying pvc and venturing out in it is my mother!She is with me and I am not sure how she would feel about me wearing pvc,although that is my decision,not hers.Not sure how any woman I may meet in the future may feel either,but then again,thats my decision.
