My guess is that you look very confident doing this plus you have a "professional-looking" photographer with you. Most people would assume you are working on a photoshoot for a commercial, magazine, catalogue, or whatever so there is not that much to see as it is just work without anything exciting going ot happen. Besides, people probably dont associate the clothing with anything besides "keeping dry in the rain".

Great photo's as always by the way.

I have only ever had one comment when out and about taking photos and video.

And that was "You will be seen wearing those!"
Nothing detremental.
So as said
Why worry!

I had something similar on a nature trip to a waterfall. It started raining so I was all up in bright orange raingear and on the way back we come across a young lady asking if the trip was worth it given the rain coming down or should she turn around immediately. We told her she should go for it, and she remarks she should have brought some raingear like I was wearing to help her through.

That remark stayed with me for a while as I interpreted it that she had some interest in the gear. Probably all very innocent but she was a rather attractive lady so of course it turned into much more in my mind.

And it always comforts me thinking that even if they think it is weird and they would remember it forever, you will probably never see them again in your life.
