]Lucky the construction site boss was prepared for todays foul weather - balaclava, golves, peaked cap, oilskin mac and thick fisherman socks turned over wellingtons.

That black Oilskin Mac looks wonderful

Can you still buy Proper Oilskins or has nylon / PU replaced it?
Imagine fishing port chandlers would be a good place to look

I have looked at that certain site but when I check details they end up mentioning PVC, I was / am under the impression that original oilskins are oiled sailcloth
I'm guessing that modern materials including PVC/PU / nylon/ vortex etc have taken over from original fabrics

Had been raining so was "horned up" to get into gear and do some pics - sorry this is a close one but you can see I fade into background!
