Around this time of the year the city sends out workers to "clean up" around town, and since this was a rainy day the chanse of seeing rainwear was excellent. Whilst riding past the cemetery at the outskirts of town I noticed there was a lot of rainwear clad workers there so I stopped and went in to have a look...
The workforce tidying up around the graves consisted of about 75% women!

Sightings: The above mentioned workers were almost all wearing marine/dark blue PU rainjackets and matching rainpants, the jackets had a area of light green across the shoulders... (aartolahti by the looks of it, didn´t manage/dare to get really close to the workers, but there was quite a few attractive rainwear clad young women there). There was an older woman there wearing a white pvc 2 piece suit.

Around town I saw a young woman wearing a yellow rukka rainjacket and shiny kontio boots (black), a Mother with her kids, she was wearing a PINK PU jacket and rboots, another woman wearing a red PU/PVC jacket and finally an older woman wearing a red PU raincoat.
Today I felt brave and went into a supermarket, walked around and looked at the rainwear there before buying a pair of skin coloured, unlined rubber gloves (household gloves)... I put them on as soon as I had left the store... I then visited a fleamarket across town before going in to a small grocery store, bought a banana... The lady at the counter didn´t say anything about my outfit, but I think she must have noticed my rubbergloves as I handed over the coins. (the skincoloured gloves didn´t stick out too much, might try a different colour next time... perhaps green

On my way home it had stopped raining, rode my bike through a quite crowded city center still wearing my rainwear, nobody said anything or even looked at me, phew...
Now I just hope that it will rain again soon!
