Hi everyone,
I am new to this forum-having lurked for quite a long time before taking the plunge and registering-but have been interested in the "scene" since what now seems like the golden age of the late 50's/early60's. For starters, while we were in Berlin a few weeks ago, we went one evening to the Hackeshen Hofe- a series of restored Art Deco courtyards which now host a mix of cafes, boutiques and our destination, the Amplemann shop. I was surprised to see the boutique next door had an outstanding display of ladies pvc/polyurethane macks in a variety of bright colours, some on outside display stands. Regrettably, as I was with my wife and daughter I did not have an opportunity to investigate further. But it partially made up for a complete lack of other sightings-unusual for any European city-brought about by the unseasonal warm and dry weather.

Yes, that's a famous rainwear designer lady in Berlin. Her name is Corinna Freitag :

Thank you so much for posting the link to such a fantastic site, I may well be changing my holidays to try and get to see this in the flesh.

I personally have been there and I must admit, that their coats are made of very heavy materials.
Their are totally heavy and very stiff, but soft as well.
Comparable to the cotton backed PVC material in the 70s.
The boutique is superb and very friendliy stuff, no fetish feeling at all,
they are really fashion-conscious. Fashion is their priority, not fetish.
