Hi Steve
Nice to see you again, its been a while
I think you're totally right about not sounding obsessive about any passion whether it be rainwear, football or train spotting
It's good to be enthusiastic, but it can be very off-putting when people go OTT
Having managed to get two people to join in shows you know how to make the right approach
Best wishes
Who knows about you?
Re: Who knows about you?
one mate knows but then I know he likes dressing up in womens clothing so its all fair, we have abit of dressing up fun together. I even got him wearing a womans plastic mac over his miniskirt which he seemed to enjoy. Other people i have had flings with have found out but its no big deal
Re: Who knows about you?
That is an interesting question indeed ... my parents both know (and disapprove) of my rainwear fetish, but otherwise they don't interfere or say anything.
My best mate also knows, but it's not something we talk about much. Generally, I've found that the opposite sex tends to be the most interested and open-minded by far. One of them even borrowed my raincoats to wear when we went out together. Another particularly close (university) friend was more than happy for me to wear very feminine women's jumpers, overcoats and high-heeled shoes when we went out together.
I have not told any of my work colleagues yet though; although I have become fairly close to one young woman there mainly because I drive her home after work every weekend. I will wait and see how things progress between us before telling her more about myself.

Re: Who knows about you?
Nobody close to me knows (certainly not the wife) Some people I have chatted / cammed with on various sites are aware & have seen the pix
Broad minded enough to acknowledge we all enjoy different things:)
Re: Who knows about you?
No one except members of this group and a couple of other internet friends.
People I know are just used to me wearing what I wear.
I live alone so can usually do what I choose at home.

Re: Who knows about you?
An interest or fetish...whatever you want too call it
I have had an attraction to rainwear of all types, descriptions since the tender age of five......in the early 1950s...preference being macs designed for the fairer sex
From that time to the year I got married...1974 ...I was the only one who knew of this attraction and I disclosed "my little secret" to my wife
Her response was somewhat negative so in all the 25 years we were together it was very much...only wearing macs indoors when she was out...
Wearing my man"s macs outdoors was accepted
We split up in 1999 and since then I have met other mac enthusiasts who have become good friends
These and those on Rainwear Central and other groups know of this attraction
No members of my family...friends...neighbours know and after all these years I think my (ex) wife still remembers of what I told her in 1974 when we married

Re: Who knows about you?
Oh that's a good thread. For me, one of my ex girlfriends knows and one of a close friend (also a girl) is informed but I think she has just forgotten.
The interesting thing is that I have to get my new girlfriend to know and that is a little bit tricky. Any thoughts on that?

Re: Who knows about you?
When I read all the comments on "Who knows about you" it felt good too disclose to those who accept and understand us and our harmless fetish/attraction to rainwear
I thought should I just disclose my (ex) wife and those I have met in person...incidentally all guys who know or disclose someone else who knows..that someone else was a crossdresser
All mention from now on will be "she" as when "she" was dressed femme..."she" was beautiful
We met firstly on a friendship site and as the messages passed between us we both felt more relaxed at relaying our little secrets...one being we were both in rainwear
We agreed too meet...and that was a turning point in my lfe
To be in the company of a beautiful "lady" and one into rainwear was a double bonus...we spent a lot of our time in rainwear indoors and this friendship turned into an attachment.......we became very much attached as boyfriend/girlfriend if that makes sense and our time "together".....just over eighteen months were some of the most memorable in my otherwise average lifestyle
I dare say some would scorn at the very thought of a guy(me) falling head over heels with another guy dressed femme and into rainwear
Sadly "she" got into financial difficulties and was forced too sell her property and moved away...too far too travel as much as I used to and sadly her enthusiasm for crossdressing has been put on hold for now thus we don"t se each other but keep in touch
As regards me telling my (ex) wife was it that I felt telling her I could wear macs freely indoors or was it that perhaps if I told her she would join me for "fun times"

Re: Who knows about you?
No one knows of my interest although my wife knows of my partiality for shiny black Macs and sometimes talks about bending over while wearing one, but that's as far as it's gone, as far as understanding my desires to cross dress I know form experience that that is a definate no no.
As a result I get to dress very infrequently, have never dared put on make-up or go outside en-femme, all of which I would dearly love to do. I suppose I'm quite fortunate that I'm small 5' 3" and can wear my wifes clothes and shoes, size 6, and only have the Red Topshop Mac and a leather mini skirt of my own. but I would dearly love to meet someone, for friendship only, who would understand my need and help me look my best.

Re: Who knows about you?
My wife knows that I have a 'thing' for pvc which she doesn't share. She doesn't know that I wear plastic macs and sometimes cross dress. Normally when I'm with other CD's for some fun. Always looking for others who share my love of pvc and plastic rainwear - I'm in the Midlands UK
