PVC-U-LIKE's USP is unbacked PVC, no cloth, no backing. However We did look at trying to source the PVC coated cloth and found it almost impossible. I'm sure there are companies capable of producing it in China or even eastern Europe but it will be expensive. Considering we live in a "Amazon" age where we expect goods to be delivered tomorrow, for nothing I don't think a £250 raincoat is going to fly off the shelves. I'm sure there is a niche market out there but at my time of life I'm too tired for new projects, anyway I have 10,000 items of PVC clothing I need to shift first before I die!Tim Raincoat wrote: May 9th, 2021, 8:18 am I am guessing this question has probably been asked before, but have pvc u like thought about making Rukka style trench coats in oil cloth ? I am sure there is a market out there for them judging by the prices they sell on eBay for ?

so with the decision of having only 10 colors, will these always be the only remaining materials or can some discontinued ones eventually return as promotionals while supplies last?
Re: Hellloooo 2
With the amount of stock we are holding, if i stopped ordering material altogether now we have enough material and stock to last 10 years so we have no intentions of ordering material after this latest batch is delivered. After that we will only order highly popular colours and all niche colours will run out naturally. Like i said before, i'm getting close to retirement now and with no one interested in buying the business it will die with me!rainwearseeker wrote: May 9th, 2021, 12:56 pm so with the decision of having only 10 colors, will these always be the only remaining materials or can some discontinued ones eventually return as promotionals while supplies last?

that is unfortunate because my favorite colors (the thick materials) are soon going to be discontinued, but i know these are also the most limiting to use. i presume off the shelf will eventually replace more made to order items or is it going to be the other way around?pvculike wrote: May 9th, 2021, 4:32 pmWith the amount of stock we are holding, if i stopped ordering material altogether now we have enough material and stock to last 10 years so we have no intentions of ordering material after this latest batch is delivered. Before Covid-19 I used the Central Line every day... never saw anything as wonderful as that, though.
