'Z Cars' (British TV series from 1962). Linda Castle wearing a shiny PVC mac in the 'Handle With Care' episode - a real blast from the past! The YT clip is in 4 parts - no raincoat sightings in parts 1 and 2 so I've only put up parts 3 and 4.
Part 3: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJ3rboL ... pV&index=8
Linda can be seen in the mac between 11'-00" and 13'-18".
Part 4: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-44KzU ... pV&index=9
I have put up this last part purely for completeness as the sightings are more like extended glimpses rather than full scenes. Timings as follows: 1'-40" to 1'-48", 2'-25" to 2'-28", 3'-11" to 3'-18", 3'-56" to 4'-14". Enjoy! :)

Cheers Raincoatgirl - very welcome as always! :) PS - Quality not as I would have liked but it's not too bad for a programme from 1962!

Many macs like that are seen in programmes of the period you have to guess what colour they are that mac she's wearing might be any colour

I think it's a process of elimination based on the colours that were widely seen back then. If you look at the mac she is wearing you can see the shade of colour and can immediately rule out white, pink and yellow (too dark). You can also rule out navy blue, dark brown, dark green and black (the mac is a lighter colour). That leaves us with the two other popular colours for macs like that back in the day - royal blue and red. So, for me it's either a royal blue colour or red and if I was a betting man I would go for red - she does, after all, play a "street girl" in the episode!
