unlined industrial/fishing/work suits please help

Post by reversiblepete »

ok so first hi i'm new.... well i've been looking for ages but never joined anything like this.

so i'm looking for help, i absolutely adore wearing my rainwear especially with no cloths on and with my girlfriend and for that reason unlined is really the only option for me just want to be encased in that smooth rubber/pvc/plastic feeling.

but i find that all the coats i love the look of never ever have pvc/plastic/rubber on the inside so am forced to only enjoy mainly pvc lined nylon which don't get me wrong i love (especially the rustle) but i long for something heavier and thicker.

i have always longed for some real heavy duty rainwear but can never find out what the lining is like, they tend to be on the expensive side so i don't want to be disappointed if i buy the wrong thing.

i was looking at guy cotten and some of their materials are listed as being coated both sides (which if so would be a dream come true) so i was wondering if anyone could confirm this and/or suggest anything that would be what i'm looking for.

Thanks in advance

P.s. i also see pictures of rainsuits in out of the norm colours (not yellow, green or orange) i would really like to see my girl in a red rainsuit so any suggestions on where these can be found that would be an awesome bonus

Hi,
It's not so heavy as you want perhaps, but look at the pages of

Good luck,

thanks man, i happen to already know of pvc u like though and have had items from there.

to clarify i'm looking more toward the actual fit for purpose items over the made for fetish items.

has anyone had experience with guy cotten, ocean, helly hansen or viking industrial wear???

I've got a pair of very heavy Guy Cotten bib pants; they are not really "smooth" PVC as such, but they are lovely and weighty!!

pvc haz mat suits are a good bet, as most of them are fairly thick vinyl and smooth (unbacked) on both sides. I've got several yellow ones that are one piece and elastic wrists and feet.

Hi Pete,

Like you, I love to wear the really heavy industrial type of rainwear, and over the years I've discovered that there aren't that many unlined industrial suits. The first thing I would recommend is to get one of those bright green chemical suits by North or Alpha Solway, they are nice to wear. The heavy Guy Cotten stuff is really nice too, as mason says, it isn't shiny, but it does have a very nice feel to it inside and out, the fly on the bib overalls doesn't make for easy 'playing' though as there is a velcro flap on the outside and a folded flap on the inside, they could be cut off but that seems a bit drastic given the cost of Guy Cotten gear!

The other suit I would recommend is sold by the main man of this forum, Paul in South Africa, he sells the Maxden rainsuits, they are awesome! I'm sure they were designed just for us! lol, they are fantastic to wear, they're really shiny on the outside and although not as shiny inside, they are nice and smooth and feel great against the skin, you can see Adelle, Pia and Kitty wearing a Maxden suit in the banner at the top of the page, and buy them here: http://maxden.co.za/

Then there are the US rainsuits, there are quite a few I've had over the years that are good for fetish wear, the best is by River City, their 'Stowawy' suits are made of 2 ply PVC, a slightly textured yellow outer layer and a smooth silver inner layer, and there's even a convenient snap fly! ;) Edmont 'Wet Wear' is also good.

Finally, I have to recommend the Snowbee Classic 'Hi-Elastic' PVC chest waders, these are made from a heavy guage vinyl that is both smooth and shiny inside and a total dream to wear for the fetishist! there are also stocking foot heavy vinyl waders available in the US which are also awesome.

One thing I would point out is that the majority of the heavy duty commercial fishing rain gear will have a cotton backing to it, so if you really like the look of that gear I can only suggest you buy two and turn one inside out, I've done that more than once! ;)

Hope that helps a bit and good luck with your search, if you do find something heavy and unlined, do tell what and where you got it!
