Coronation 1953
Just about old enough to remember the whole family going to to my grandmother's to watch the coronation on her newly acquired 12" TV. As I had only recently been toilet trained and was still prone to occasional lapses, I was, despite my kicking and screaming protests, put back into terry nappy and plastic pants for the duration so as not to interrupt anyone's enjoyment of the ceremony.

I remember it too as I was borne in England. It poured down with rain and I'll miss today, Thank Heavens!

Sorry about that. The Coronation is tomorrow but I still won't be watching the thing.
