Regnfrakker

Post by JanetandNick »

Is anyone else having problems with their site?
A few days ago, I posted half a dozen pictures and a video on there, and they definitely "took" - I got some nice comments.
But now they've vanished. It's really frustrating, it takes time to upload things, which is all wasted.
I don't know if they're still having technical problems, or if they maybe don't like me for some reason.

All is well - I just got a message from the site owner - it was a cockup.
(A technical one, that is - not the type that I like!)
It's a very posh & flashy site - but it keeps having these little problems.

since they started charging just haven't bothered with it to any great extent. The occasions I have looked it doesn't seem as though it is getting much use and certainly very little content. I suspect people are reluctant to part with cash on such an unpredictable site. What do others think?

Hi, I don't quite agree with you merv, the standard membership (free) includes looking at 10 pics and 1 video per 24 h period. All other functions are free. I use it quite frequently for corresponding with other members.
Btw, a couple of days ago I couldn't check in, I got a message that my password is not correct. A few hours later it was fixed, so technical problems - yes, they occur.

I for one agree with Merv, regnfrakker hasn't just had the odd technical hitch, it's been riddled with them for over a year, and in this day and age, people just won't pay to be messed around like that, there's a perfectly good free alternative at http://hdrainwear.pixul8r.com/ and given the amount of usernames I recognise from the old days on regnfrakker, I'm not the only one who thinks that. There's only one thing I would suggest people on regnfrakker do and that's invite all your contacts on there to an alternative site that actually works.

I agree with Rainy Dee. Why should I upload my pictures to create free content for them to sell while I am limited in watching things other members are posting, unless I am willing to pay, not to talk about all the technical problems. Thanks for the link to Heavy Duty Raingear, I have looked around and I think this is a nice and easy to work with site....

Some error happend, 3xl made a post about it here

But yes it's a sad turn that you have to pay, especially since the new site isn't any better. The prices are also insane.
