Would have been good to ask the scriptwriters where the idea from that scene came from - I guess the character in the suit sitting on the chair certainly liked plastic!

Wonderful! Thank you for posting.
Capturing the zeiteist of the 60s, I think the inspiration must have been everywhere at the time. Gave me an excuse to do a bit of research on Mary Quant, who started using PVC in her 'wet collection' around that time. She wrote this in her autobiography:
A friend "begged me to convert the small conservatory in our Chelsea ballroom flat into a PVC-covered black-and-white extravaganza, with silver Venetian blinds over the windows. The effect was overwhelming. It seemed to have a similar impact on Snowden, who wanted to photograph me in one of the PVC raincoats in the PVC room. The photographs are dynamic and fun..."
Her room sounds fantastic and I've not seen the photos but I bet they are worth a look!

Yeah, that would have been great - it's certainly a strange one (nice though!). :)

You are very welcome - glad you enjoyed it! :) I seem to remember there are a few videos on YouTube about the Mary Quant wet-look collection - I think one or two may have been put up to the Forum - just a case of doing a search.
