Re: Temu gents raincoat
And that’s exactly what temu and other Chinese companies like them want, to kill off all competition so it is only them left.
Lets get swishy!
Re: Temu gents raincoat
The scumbag Chinese have already more or less killed off rainwear manufacturing in the Philippines with their paper-thin plastic garbage that no one likes or wants to wear. I hardly see anyone wearing raincoats there now because it is no longer good quality or attractive to wear.pvculike wrote: March 23rd, 2024, 9:39 pm As Mason said, these guys do not give a f**k about copyright or ripping genuine companies off, there is no recourse, they make it impossible to challenge them. The garments are sub standard, using slave labour with no regard to safety. So when you buy from Temu it is yet another nail in the coffin of PUL. When we shut the doors because we can no longer make the figures stack everyone will be left at the mercy of these Chinese rip off merchants and they will crank the prices up. Just remember, when PUL has gone, all the machinary, skills, lovely soft PVC materials and hard work will never be repeated, that will be it finito. Think hard before you buy!
So much for "we will protect Philippine manufacturing".

Re: Temu gents raincoat
If we keep chasing what is very cheap then we end up shooting ourselves in the foot, not just in rainwear but in so many things, in the end we tend to end up with less real choice. I won't buy really cheap rubbish, I think that pvc u like gives genuine value for money.

I have a suit similar to that in brown. There is something really pervy about the way the high-necked press stud fastening forces your head to be held high so that the transparent visor in front of the hood partly covers your face in transparent plastic. I would dare anyone to wear it in public!

I bought this particular outfit in coffee intending to wear it for gardening as it seemed practical colour for wearing in a potentially muddy situation. I must say it is one of the perviest outfits I have ever worn!Pvcmacguy wrote: November 21st, 2023, 10:56 am I like the jacket and trousers in either coffee or sky blue

Re: Temu gents raincoat
I bought a long black hooded raincoat from Temu, choosing the largest size (3XL) as I like a really long raincoat. Wasn't disappointed as mine is near ankle length!. Material is EVA but I suppose that's replacing PVC these days. A real downpour just after I got it was a great opportunity to try it out locally and wore it to the local shops. A matt black on the outside it was however very shiny inside. It was also very rustly and therefore attention-drawing when being worn. Totally impermeable to the downpour I wore it in! So to answer your question Jenny, a man could certainly go outside wearing it as I did.
