When I was a child I was forced to wear nylon raincoats all the time and like you I was bullied.

Once married this returned and now ex loved it. I wore a raincoat at all times outside unless weather forecast said 0% raincoat but still had to take my mac with me.

Another one here made to wear a nylon pakamac as a child throughout my teenage years. And always buttoned to the neck too. This was in early 1980s
