Rain today

Here in Cornwall it started raining about midday today.Just a light gentle rain;still about 20 celcius and the occasional sunny interval.These are just about my favourite conditions.I wore t shirt,tracksuit bottoms,thin fleece,thick fleece,wellingtons,padded nylon overtrousers and a heavy nylon padded fishing jacket all tightly fastened up with the hood up.After a few minuits of brisk walking I was boiling hot and walked like this for about 3 hours,consuming 2 liters of water!
Most people I came across were wet and bedraggled and one lady said"You must have listened to the forecast.I wish we had"I love the swishing sounds gear like this makes and the way they are accentuated when you have a hood on.
I know this isn't most readers idea of fun,but it certainly is mine!

Me too. Prefer when temperature hovers around the 12 to 15 degree level. Not too hot, but not cold either.
Like to put on my yellow reversible rainmack, navy plastic leggings and yellow hunter wellies.

Sounds great Neil but I would not have gone for padded raingear. Just a regular cagoule and overtrousers would be sufficient!
