A trendsetter

Post by Bill_P »

Yesterday I took my dog to the park in a cold, mild drizzle, decked out in my long yellow PVC slicker, matching sou'wester & yellow Hunters. Not a whole lot of other people braving the weather, but a few diehards did show up, including a cute young blonde lady I'd met a few times before with a feisty young puppy. She made a point of showing me her new black & white floral print wellies, and credited me as the impetus for buying them, stating she'd never really considered them until she saw me wearing mine & realized how practical they'd be for the dog park, particularly as our park tends to get really muddy & stays that way for days after it rains, and the wooded trails can get flooded rather quickly. As the rain started to come down harder & the wind picked up, she started struggling with her umbrella & said now she needs to find herself some nice rain gear like mine.

Maybe a new convert...

Definitely the dream of every raincoat/ welly fetishist to convert others. Umbrella's are useless in rainy and windy regions, raingear and wellies are the only way to go. I grew up in Nova Scotia so becoming a raincoat fetishist was easy for me.
