Re: Skirts
Just been to tesco for supplies wearing a white peter storm vintage cagoule over just a strappy top and shorts, it rained but only a shower, still stayed dry and yes did feel nice on my skin. It’s actually amazing how these peter storms are still waterproof after nearly 40 years! Most goretex jackets wont ever get close to that.

I have always liked the feel of proofed nylon next to my skin, especially when it gets wet.Vxr 15 wrote: May 6th, 2024, 8:28 amI do also like the feeling of the nylon rainmac on my skin and it's even better when it's raining hard and you can feel the rain beating down on your nylon rainmac and your skin is right underneath, also when the nylon is getting wet and it has that nice wet look about it, just need some rain.annabell-cagoule wrote: April 24th, 2024, 10:42 pm Love wearing a nice strappy summer dress and cagoule over the top. Re: Skirts
So at the beginning of this thread I said about the number of skirts that I had seen and was looking at to buy, well just recently i have purchased 3 new skirts all of which are the satin slip skirt, there's 1 midi skirt and 2 midaxi length skirts, 3 different colours and all look great when I'm wearing them only now I've just got to loose a few so there's room in the wardrobe. Anyone else been skirt shopping lately and what have you brought.

Re: Skirts
Bought a lovely boho prairie style skirt the other day from a charity shop, £4!!! It has a couple of layers with a pleated cream colour underskirt showing beneath the hem if a cornflower blue skirt with some embroider flowers. It would be absolutely perfect if it were a little bit shorter. I thought if i put a nylon waterproof skirt over the top it would be heaven to go walking in.

Went for a walk yesterday afternoon round my local country park wearing a short black cami top and denim microskirt under my pvc raincoat. Lovely

Re: Skirts
Was canoeing last week and came across a large green fishing umbrella made of waterproofed nylon floating like a coracle.
It was broken off at the pole and being the kind of person not to leave it in the river where it could cause litter I popped it in my boar, the nylon felt lovely and i took the wire frame off and stuffed it in my canoe bag. Yesterday i gave it a clean and cut to top off and have turned it into a long green waterproof skirt, wonderful to wear in the rain!

Re: Skirts
I have 3 skirts from PUL. I love them for the coverage they provide around my legs.
Re: Skirts
I love my skirts but a waterproof skirt sounds amazing.
