I've long been a fan of Stutterheim for their beautiful (if somewhat expensive) shiny PVC raincoats
However, it seems that they're more interested in arty-farty fashion coats than real waterproofs nowadays
Some of their new 'rainwear' is absolutely awful, in particular the LEVI jeans "inspired" look.
I hope this is not a direction for the future

Hi Mason,
I agree, more fashion and less function.
Much prefer my old Weathervain and Hamilton Classics. Look after them and they last well no matter how and how often they get used.

Exactly, I mentioned that in my posting concerning the new a/w collection: viewtopic.php?t=16720
Ugly garbage, overpriced, are there only morons in their management? Since Alexander left nothing seems to be on track.

timeless fashion is the best fashion - classic "rubberized" raincoats are timeless

Also it seems like they’ve stopped offering size XXL for any of their coats, but they go as low as XXXS. Catering to emaciated little chihuahua-waifs, while leaving average to large sized men in the dust.
I’m done with them. I’d rather give Farmerrain my money. Better looking rainwear, emphasis on function while still paying attention to fashion, more size inclusive, greater variety of styles, and half the price of Stutterheim

the decline in quality reminds me of hunter boots which i heard which got a lot worse when they were outsourced to china. it is like casabella waterstop gloves are now lower quality when they became waterblock gloves.

Re: Disappointed in Stutterheim
I bought a Stockholm opal navy blue last year. The quality of the fabric has declined so much! The fabric is not the same as formerly. It was thick, slippery and crinkle, it is not anymore. What a pity. I do not advice 2024 Stutterheim.
