Re: Before the Internet
I bought coats from South Bucks, Hamilton Classics and Weathervane 30 or more years ago from printed adverts. I still have them and they are all in good condition and remain waterproof despite the number of times that they have been used for 'fun' both indoors and outdoors. My Aquo boots are still pretty good too. It seems that product quality has gone down in adverse ratio to the growth of the Internet and the migration of manufacture to China.
In addition to my SBR and PVC coats and sou'westers, I have a pair of Coarse Fisher waders and a pair of Argyle wellies.

Re: Before the Internet
I am now 75 and still have my fetish. Going back to when my mum used to make me put my plastic mac on and always fastened to the neck when i was going to school. The 60s and 70s saw a fashion in pvc raincoats, i remember the C & A stores used to have lots oi would always manage to brush up against them as i walked around. When i was out i always tried to talk to girls that were in thier mac even better if they wore boots as well. And i was lucky enough to marry a lady that let me indulge in my kinks.
Re: Before the Internet
Ha ha, coincidentally I actually own a copy of that particular issue. I remember eagerly awaiting for it to arrive in the mail.PVC Raincoat wrote: October 4th, 2024, 9:39 pm For rctr88

Re: Before the Internet
Before the internet (or better said, before I got my first online connection when moving to my first own apartment) I had more or less nothing. I remember there were some modeled product pics in the big print catalogue of the Frankonia hunting and countryside clothing store, I looked at (very few) green raincoats and capes, but in these times the glorious days when they had e.g. green Klepper coats and capes were gone.
When I got my first internet access by a 56K modem I discovered nice pics and the whole thing started to grow

timeless fashion is the best fashion - classic "rubberized" raincoats are timeless
Re: Before the Internet
Hello friends.
My passion has increased tenfold since I got the Internet.
The passion had been in me since childhood. But the information and the acquisition of these dream clothes were very limited to me. Not to mention that I hardly had much money at my disposal. I don't know if my parents would have agreed to buy me clothes to do me good!
Today, I'm an adult, I let myself go to my pleasures.
With the Internet, I do research around my passion. I make discoveries that allow me to order clothes to satisfy my desires.
With this great forum, I let myself be transported into dreams.
My wife doesn't share this passion but lets me live it.
Thank you to her and thank you Internet.

Re: Before the Internet
Many Many years ago when I was pretty young I was in an issue of Shiny Housewife, it was a day being photographed and being dressed and made up and actually great fun. The pictures were pretty tame compared to what's available today. Unfortunately my copy of the magazine got lost years ago in a house move and I have no idea of the issue number to try to find a replacement.PVC Raincoat wrote: October 4th, 2024, 9:39 pm For rctr88

Re: Before the Internet
You should contact Keital at Fetisheyes, it was probably him taking the pictures.
Re: Before the Internet
Crikey. I honestly can't remember the name of the photographer, it was getting on 40 years ago and was a huge confidence boost, not something I had looked to do. But I had a look at your links and my photos were extremely tame compared to them, but I really appreciate the interest.
