I remember these shorts. Ours were short shorts very noisy and pretty uncomfortable. Never done anything for me, was just glad to change out of them.

I have a fantasy seeing girls in shiny PVC running shorts. Look just like these…

But ideally PVC or plastic and not nylon. Used to see girls in nylon ones (not this shiny) in the 70’s and 80’s but never experienced PVC ones in the wild. If there were a team of ladies footballers that wore them I’d start following the game in an instant.

Among others inflicted on me was the wearing of kilts as "Sunday best" and of cardigans for school wear. As authentic boys kilts were hard to find and expensive, I was taken to the girl's department of a local clothing outlet and fitted with a girl's tartan skirt as a substitute and girl's blouse to go with it, girl's knickers to go underneath and long white socks. At least these were only worn for "Sunday best"whereas the gfrl's cardigans had to be worn with my regulation everyday school uniform long trousers and blazer.
Heaven for many of us.
Lets get swishy!

Hmm, in view of Annabel Cagoule's concluding comment I should add that my mother later found a source of secondhand authentic kilts at an affordable price so I no longer had the humiliating experience of wearing a girl's skirt. She also took advice on what should be worn under the kilt and was told surprisingly that boys of my age were given schoolgirl's bottle-green gym knickers to wear as more practical and offering more support than boys' gym shorts. Years later I revisited online the question of what kilted boys of the period wore under their kilts and indeed read that the most practical solution commonly used then was indeed what I was made to wear. Public embarrasment at wearing a kilt in public when i actually lived in the south of England was avoided by my mother's rule that I must wear my plastic pacamac when out of doors at all times whether raining or not!

Yes Annabel I agree. Sensible mother! At first she used to subject me to to same treatments i got for my other displays of what she called "attitude" and my resistance to the kilt for Sunday Best and especially the bottle green girl's gym knickers was dealt with in the usual way by pulling down my bare-bottom spanking. Shaming But this "Sunday best"outfit also satisfied a secret desire to know what it felt like to wear a kilt and to wear girl's knickers underneath and my attitude changed, I ceased complaining and the spankings stopped. They continued though for other displays of stroppiness up to the time I left school age 18 but Sundays were a welcome respite for both myself and my mother from then on.
