This was back when shiny PVC clothing ( dresses, trousers, jackets, bodysuits etc ) were quite trending due to the techno wave. And they were also worn by people who were not going to raves.
I can also remember a video by Dr Alban where one of his dancers/background singers was wearing a cute sleeveless rubber jumpsuit. Even Tina Turner was wearing shiny capri pants wirh a cute shiny top on stage.
I also remember a young woman at an electronics retailer who was wearing a black double-breasted tailored vinyl blazer with matching jeans while doing promo for a game console.
