The ugliest raincoat I've ever seen

Post by mason »

Introducing Mosebacke Tape: a raincoat so ugly, so woke that no one will ever buy or wear it

What is wrong with these bastards?

It's not shiny at all. it doesn't hold any fetish appeal for me.

I agree it is unlikely to be attractive to many on this forum, but compared to most of the dull, technical, modern rainwear being sold at least it has some element of design.
Hopefully, the Opal fabric will return soon.

It's rubbish and creepy, but honestly the typical three-tone "we must take three colours no matter which, only must is these three colours may not work together and are suitable for colour-blind people" outdoor jackets like Jack Wolfskin etc are even more ugly, for me they are the ugliest weather proof gear at all.

I'd love to get long Stockholm coats in opal (esp. black and burgundy) in XXL size but they don't have plans to restock their opal range.
I'd like to kick the CEO's ass as hard as I can! Frightening how one can ruin a former trendsetting company which influenced and guided lots of other fashion manufacturers.

the material used is always the most important criteria whenever i look for rainwear followed by shape so it fits me, but also how much i am covered by it. this does not even look like the rubbery kind of vinyl that the old stutterheims used to be made out of or the shiny opal material (although i found it stiff, it still had more of a traditional raincoat feel to it).

Lee Cotter is the current CEO: https://images.milledcdn.com/2021-02-25 ... DRdQT.jpeg

He could offer that new garbage additionally to the traditional Stockholm and Mosebacke raincoats, they are so iconic they never should run out of their portfolio.

i remember the advertisement for stutterheim was to be a return to the more classic style raincoats with the more rubber like material especially when the modern materials like goretex and PU are used more often.
