Rain skirts

Post by annabell-cagoule »

Anyone tried a rain skirt?

Regatta and Peter Storm used to do them many years ago, haven’t seen anyone really making anything since really. But came across these today and wondered if anyone had bought one and tried them? Are they really thin material?

I should have bought a millets one (made by regatta in the old stormbreak shiny pvc coated nylon) years ago when I saw one for sale, it was in orange. millets Gloucester were closing down and had a massive sale on of old stock rainwear, i bought the jacket and some over trousers in white that felt rubbery inside but didn’t have enough for the rain-skirt as well.

Anyone have any rain skirts in their collections?
Lets get swishy!

Yes I have a rain skirt in my collection it's a onewind rain skirt from Amazon, it's a wrap around style skirt so it's a one size fits all, I got it in blue and it fits me fine and is a good length, the material is a bit thin but I have worn it out in the rain and it seems fully waterproof.

Yes, Peter Storm used to make a waterproof golf/bowling Skirt in white and navy. Sadly I never bought one.

We had an outdoor bowls club quite near where I lived growing up. I used to like seeing the ladies in their white bowling skirts and jackets (cagoules) when I was in my teens....

Dutch brand Agu made rainskirts in the early 80's. Outside was blue nylon, inside was white rubber.

This was the same for me, I used to have fantasies about the younger women not wearing anything at all under their rainskirts, big turn on!

Out of interest googled Rain Skirts and plenty available from £12 on Amazon upwards to £85.

Same as above I have thought about bowlers wearing the white one with no skirt under it, the same as I often wear waterproof trousers
Broad minded enough to acknowledge we all enjoy different things:)

Only thing wrong with this skirt is the bottom, I don't like the tie up thing.
