1983, ah probably the peak year for those lovely long plastic macs, they were everywhere and still a fashion item. Every clothes shop stocked them in a variety of colours. C&A had one of the best selections but I got a lovely green one at Peacocks, quite heavy plastic but super smooth and soft.

The late 1970's/early 1980's was a wonderful time for see-through plastic macs. All the main stores sold them including C&A, Debenhams, Van Allen, Primark, BHS Littlewoods, Kendalls, David Morgan, Cardiff and they would usually be found for sale in outdoor ans indoor markets.Priscilla wrote: April 28th, 2025, 6:59 pm 1983, ah probably the peak year for those lovely long plastic macs, they were everywhere and still a fashion item.
