I recall all my shirts being drip-dry nylon, so much more convenient than cotton and no ironing required. Drip-dry easy-care nylon vests, underpants and socks soon replaced cotton equivalents. Those of us who lived on their own soon realised the nylon housecoats, aprons etc women wore were equally convenient for men and adopted them without any self=consciousness. Nylon working overalls and rainwear felt great worn next to the skin and one soon discovered that wearing them produced erections that demanded to be dealt with!. The list is endkess, what a wonderful period!

Nylon housecoat / overall and a PVC Mac combination brings back some very happy memories from the 70s when single and living at home.
My mother wore both so I was able to " borrow" them for some fun 😈
Broad minded enough to acknowledge we all enjoy different things:)

My mother also had nylon smocks but that didn't mean much to me - I was into nylon raincoats. She got a PVC smoke-colored semi-transparent raincoat at one point but I guess it was me who played with it.
