The Actress in the Raincoat & Bonnet is actually "Marianne Hill" not Gail Hire! a very nice scene, tho!

You actually need to look at Red Line 7000 Part 7 on You Tube (7'45" - 12'45") to see the plastic mac sequence. The actress's name is properly Marianna Hill. In the latter part of the above sequence, lucky old James Caan gets to cuddle her in her wet mac in the rain! Doesn't it make you envious?

Without retracting my previous comment on how attractive the lady looks, has anyone else noticed that both her and the bloke who come in from the rain have perfectly dry coats?

ah the joys of continuity frogmac, you often see this where one moment someone is very wet, the next they are bone dry

Yes, but the continuity slips were sometimes much worse than that. I can remember watching a film on TV one afternoon in the early 1960's. It was the kind of supporting film that British studios once churned out quickly and cheaply. I cannot remember the title, the plot, or who was in it, with the exception that the female lead was played by Sandra Dorne. There was a sequence which showed her approaching and entering a bank wearing a white raincoat. She is then shown coming into the bank but her raincoat has now magically changed into a white overcoat made of quite thick material. When she has completed whatever it was she had to in the bank, the film cuts to another exterior shot showing her leaving the bank and (you've guessed it) it's turned back into a raincoat again. The error is so glaringly obvious, it's difficult to believe that any continuity girl would have missed it, so it probably occurred because whichever coat was filmed first wasn't available (for whatever reason) for the subsequent shots.
