PUL Material

Looking for help from members. I bought this exact sauna suit in this exact material a while ago. This is my favourite plastic material as it has a slightly rubbery feel to it, but PUL don’t seem to do this suit/material combination anymore. So I am wondering what the material was called.

Here it is listed on Plastikhosen.com but they don’t mention the name of the PVC-U-LIKE material.

Hi ,i to have recently received a sauna suit from pvc-u-like, and it lovely to wear, and I would say it has that rubbery feel to it ,just be aware of the sizing of the suit, i should have got a bigger size ,but it does induce a great sweat soon after putting it on ,xx

Merci, mais je cherchais le code article spécifique, comme NAT1 (mais pas NAT1 !).

What material code did you order? I bought mine as small/medium and it is the absolute perfect size for me, although the top can be a struggle to get off once good and warm and moist, but there is nothing better after a session being encased in plastic to have to pull it over your face to get it off. I just cannot find the material code to reorder.

One thing I noticed early on was that getting the elasticated legs over my feet was quite hard to get off and I am sure contributed to the seams splitting, so I made a small incision to cut the elastic without damaging the vinyl too much and now they are much better. Having said that, they have come apart in many places due to a strenuous life so that why I want to replace them.

Hi ,I'm sure that the code was NAT 15 ,i have also cut the elastic from the hem of the suit, very carefully as you did ,its easier to get off when sweating heavily. I love to sweat in pvc ,mmm x

I think you are on to something, I m thinking NAT16 rather than 15 as it is defiantly thicker than 150 microns. What is needed is a popper instead of elastication - I love the feeling of being totally sealed in plastic but something that is releasable.

I found the original receipt and it was NAT2 which I am fairly sure they don’t do anymore. I wonder if Plastikhosen have old stock of the sauna suits in NAT2 or whether they buy a different material and the image is just for illustrative purposes. Or as anyone in the UK might have seen on food products, “serving suggestion” I thought when I bought it back in 23 (time flies by) that it said China Made, but now all the PUL sauna suits say UK, so maybe Plastikhosen still get theirs from the Far East and PUL make them locally.

Drop pvc-u-like an email. They are brilliantly helpful. I recently saw material which was no longer commercially available but they still had a small amount and were happy to make me a raincoat with it.

This is an interesting topic, of all the messages that have been posted on this fine forum I can't recall anyone who wears/dresses in pvc clothing ever having mentioned these clothes are extremely difficult in removing having wore them for a long time. I have always believed it was only me that suffered from this, so it pleasing that it is not. My modest collection purchased from our friends at PUL, consists of t-shirts, two sauna suits and a number of pairs of trousers TR04/05 and my fav SU10 black shiny overalls, which sadly are now showing signs of wear & tear and along with a couple of cagoules and couple of pairs of comfort pants TR21. There is another issue I have found that no matter what I do the TR04/TR21 trousers fill with trapped air, no sooner do i release it by pulling the waist band, they very quickly look like two long party balloons, which is I feel not a great look for outdoors, this occurs whether the trousers are tucked into wellies or not. Any suggestions, anyone?
