Going mudding for the first time, any advice?

Post by 3Wire_Rainwear »

Going mudding tomorrow (Aug 8th 2026) for the first time in the woods for real. Any advice for what to bring? Besides the rainwear and a gas mask of course. Anything you could think of that you wish you knew for the first time?

I was planning on wearing 3 layers, a base layer of farmerrain, ocean mudsuit for the mid layer, and a guy cotton set on the outside with long rubber gloves and a Drager gas mask. Its pretty hot out and it hasn't rained much lately but I need to take what I can get with the timing. Thank you!

Find a water source to clean up in. Bring lots of water yourself, a towel, many bin bags for muddy gear and ofc clean clothes for the way back.

And let us know how it went and share some pictures if you take any! Have a lot of fun!

Good advice, especially having a water source to get cleaned up afterwards. Enjoy.
