I think that these are over priced really the cheapest being £79 uk pounds and the most expensive about £175

Nearly the same design in ASDA (UK) Walmart in America is £12 uk pounds
Does the same job though only one colour (Green)

Just my opinion

I like the brightly coloured ones but Hunters are expensive. I wear a pair of red Town & Country wellingtons usually - they are half the price of Hunters and the fun is in the wearing of them and not having the right label. I also have an ordinary chain-store pair of cheap green wellies for those times when the red ones just wouldn't be appropriate.

I also like the Ilse Jacobsen ladies lace-up wellies and would love a pair of those but not sure I would wear them enough to warrant the expense.

Anyway, I think it is wrong for men to feel they have to wear just black or green wellies and would like to see more of us blokes wearing brighter colours. :D

I know the Hunters are expensive, but for me it's about comfort, and I've never worn a pair of wellies that was more comfortable than my Hunters. And let's face it, women are more fashion and label-conscious, and my being a man wearing colored Hunter wellies has led to some interesting conversations with some beautiful ladies who'd otherwise never have any reason to talk to me!

Hi All

Good news for Hunter lovers, the Hunter Great range is now available in sizes up to UK 12. I just received my order of a pair of Gold and Bronze today, and they sure are nice. Just wonder if I'll be wearing the golden ones in public? :-) So be fast and get hold of a pair while you can, I presume they have not produced a large amount of these models in large sizes.....

Here are the links:

What then are the most popular colours ?
I think the Hunters in Green and Black are probably the most widely worn colours, I have one pair in Navy Blue but my other pair which are my favourite are glossy Grey.

Saying that though the Asda / George shop a few months ago had really nice very glossy black wellies for £9.99 (In female sizes of course!).

They do look nice in most of the colours though. Does anybody wear them for work or is it just for pleasure ?

Hi,

I wore my brown Hunters this morning going to the local building supply store, I was pushing a trolley so most people could not see the boots when walking towards someone. But I did get a stare or two, I always just stare straight back and they always immediately look somewhere else :-)
